Sailsys
Sailsys is the new handicapping and scoring system that has been selected for the JBCYC 2024-2025 onward.
The system replaces the spreadsheet based handicapping and scoring used by the club for many years. Sailsys will also replace the old electronic sign on system via RevSport. The good news is that your Skipper will need to sign you on each race.
The advantage of Sailsys over the original system is:
- Scoring can be done from any device
- Browser on a computer
- On any tablet
- On any phone
- The speed to process results
- It takes around 3 minutes to update and process results for all series
- Anyone can enter and process results with very little training
- Yearly setup takes around 30 minutes
- Our PHS handicaps are more portable as we have aligned them to those in other clubs
- This also helps for events such as the Saltwater Veterans Regatta when other boats sail in our fleet
- The handicapping system in Sailsys is more thorough than our previous handicapping calculations
- Pat won't be upstairs swearing at the club computer and spreadsheet
